Type Of Classes That I Detest!

From young that is standard 1 until now, I can say that in my heart does not have any classes that I detest! When I still in secondary school, I heard a lot of students or my friends complain about their teacher and classes that they attended. I wonder that how come most of my friends hate to attend some classes and why they choose not to go? Now, I am experiencing what they experience.

The first day I attend the class, in my mind think that the classes that I attend are friendly but this is not what I thought! Its make me very upset. I am a slow learner; I need someone to guide me in class. They not only do not teach me and even look down on me! This reason makes me so down in my spirit and I try to skip the classes as possible as I can.

Moreover, I am taking foundation in management. One of the important subjects is accounting, I was so stress because of my accounting lecturer. This subject needs to do a lot of exercise for us to understand it, but the lecturer does not give much. Not only this, the lecturer only base on the text book to explain it and the text book does not provide many details. Lecturer should have some creative way to explain it such as giving some current situation that the world facing or give more example which can found it from reference book.

When come to 2pm classes, it will be my most sleepiest time for me. As a normal or healthy person, we have lunch at 12pm. Most of the people will feel sleepy after the luch, this is because our stomach is working to digest the food and sadly to say that I am one of the kind too. My spirit and my body are fighting, because of my spirit try to catch up what the lecturer is given but my body is weak. It is very suffering during that hour. One of the days, I accidently felt asleep in the class! I feel ashame and detest the class which I attended. It is because of the lecturer scolded me in front of my classmates without questioning the reasons.

Lastly, I thought I could able to understand and accept what my friends experience but I could not. This circumstance is beyond my imagination and I hope that in the future, I will not face the same circumstances that I having now. If I still face the same circumstances, I wish I can overcome it!

*This is not the real story, I love every classes that I attended and I want to thank God for that!*

How to stay awake in class?

Most of the students are facing sleepiness in class. This situation has become a normal thing in their life. Some of the students find so hard to overcome this situation. It is because they don’t know what make it to happen and how to solve it! What is the key that make students to stay awake in class?

As a student, your main focus is enjoying your study. When you focus on the right things, you will be easily to do it! Nowadays, most of the students are losing their main focus. They spend their important time on playing computer’s games. Some of the scientist and even the Bill Gates said that “A person who play more than 1hour computer, he or she should rest for 30minutes”. This word let us know that computer will cause a person tired, this is the reason that cause students tired in class. The way to stay awake in class is students should discipline themselves in their personal life and not to spend time in playing computer’s games for whole days.

Moreover, students should use time wisely and not to spend their time overnight in doing nonsense things. For example: going pub with friends, going Cyber CafĂ© and etc. It will only cause them to be sleepy. For a student, you should have 8 hour sleep per day. When you have enough sleep, you won’t feel tired and heavy during the class. It not only helps you to stay awake but also give you a healthy lifestyle and your emotion will be stable too. For God has created that day is for work, night is for rest. These things no one can be denied.

Before attending the class, students can have some nap. After the nap, students will be refreshing; their mind will be sharp during the class. It not only helps the students to stay awake in class but also will help them to focus more in class. When students easily catches up what the lecturer teach in class, they won’t feel sleepy and have excitement to learn more! During the class, if the students still feel sleepy, he or she should take some rest. For example: students can go for toilet to wash their face to refresh themselves.

In conclusion, students should not only study hard but also has to plan wisely in their daily life. It not only helps students to stay awake in class but also will give them a happy and healthy lifestyle! :)

My Life in MMU!

In the beginning when I move into Multimedia University (MMU), deep down in my heart know that this is a beginning of my new life! This life which is life in MMU is no more like the secondary school life; this life is a much more challenging life. Maybe for others is not all that challenging but as for me is an exciting and challenging journey!

Before the school begin, there is an orientation week. In the first and second day, my mind was struggling because I have to live a new life in MMU for about 4years! The feeling that I had is upside down, I feel very uncomfortable because I have to live with someone that I never knew before and in addition I am a quiet and shy person. I don’t even dare to talk to others especially on the first day of the orientation, all the senior and including the student reprehensive council were my Orientation Leader and we played a game, call “Ice breaking”. In the end of this game, it helped me to break my quietness and shyness. It’s really a challenging game for me, because this game requires a lot of communicating skills. Although sometimes it is tiring but it was really fun and exciting! The orientation Leader did not only introduces the school to me but he also shares his personal experience living in MMU.

After the orientation week, school began for the first day. At first I saw the time table, it is totally different compared to secondary or primary school. It has a lot of free time, sometimes only one hour in class per day. I thought I can really enjoy my playful life in MMU but it is not as it seems because if I keep on enjoying my playful life I will only neglect my studies. As I recall all what my teachers and my Pastor told me in my hometown ‘you must discipline yourself’. It’s true; I have to learn to be discipline in my daily life! In MMU here because my parents are not here to guide my lifestyle, I have to learn how to be independent and I have to make my own decisions in everything that I do!

Apart from learning to be independent, I also learn how to cooperate with others. Most of the Lecturer here is not seeing our intelligence and or anything but they wants us to learn to cooperate or teamwork! Because out of ¾ are group assignments from the lecturer and ¼ is individual assignment, I feel very good to all the works that the lecturer gave. The first time we had our group discussion, I learned how to humble myself and accepts others idea or knowledge. Through this experience I feel very satisfied because the result is unity in the things that we do.

I really enjoy my life in MMU here! It really prepares me to face the challenge in the coming future. It is true that MMU is the place that creates generation of leaders to the world! I want to thank God for giving me such an exciting and challenging life!
